Das Basler Münster in Stampflehm

Mit der Fassung in Lehm erscheint das Münster seltsam entrückt, sich dem Himmel zuwendend. Der Sakralbau erinnert geheimnisvoll an andere Kulturen und Religionen. Die Stadtsilhouette wirkt deutlich nivelliert, die Horizontale dominiert nun die Vertikale. Nichtsdestotrotz mögen wir die heutige Situation; das Münster als ordnendes Element hervorragend im Stadtgefüge integriert. Für uns ist umso wichtiger, dass die Basler ihrer Silhouette Sorge tragen!

The Basel Minster in rammed earth

With its version in rammed earth, the cathedral appears peculiarly transcended, turning towards heaven. The sacral building is a mysterious reminder of other cultures and religions. The silhouette of the city seems clearly levelled, the horizontal now dominates the vertical. Nevertheless, we like today's situation; the cathedral as an organizing element is excellently integrated into the urban fabric. To us it is even more important that the residents of Basel take care of their silhouette!
